In a preventive measure to check and control the raging coronavirus spread, 2 underground disinfectant spray tunnels have been set up in front of the office of the Chennai Police Commissioner.
So, the Police who come to attend duty are all tested thoroughly and then only permitted inside!
A nationwide lockdown condition has been imposed for 21 days from 6.00 AM on 25th March as a preventive action against the spreading of the raging coronavirus pandemic. However, at the same time, the number of persons infected with coronavirus has also been increasing with each passing day!
So, disinfectants are being sprayed on behalf of the state government in places where the public gather. As apart of this, more than 100 police staff are employed in the office of the state government Department of Police. So,the Office of the Police Commissioner is always busy!
As such, disinfectants were sprayed on and throughout the building thrugh fire-fighting vehicles. Further, disinfectants were sprayed through drones.
As a large number of public also visit this office to give 3 complaints and a large number of police staff reports for duty, underground disinfectant tunnels have been set up on the 3rd and 4th Entrance gates.
It has been made mandatory the all persons entering the office including the duty staff to go through these disinfectant underground tunnels only!
The operation of the underground disinfectant tunnels was inaugurated by the Chennai Headquarters Additional Commissioner Jayaraman.
Headquarters Joint Commissioner Babu and Assistant Commissioner Vimala participated in the inaugural event.
