There are 8 union territories in India and Puducherry is one amongst them. Initially known as Pondicherry, the name was changed to Puducherry in the year 2006. Mr. V. Narayanaswamy is the current chief minister of Puducherry.
The CM mentioned that all private clinics must be opened compulsorily and if not then their licences would be cancelled. There are few government hospitals in Puducherry and outpatient wards have been opened in these hospitals.
It is now said that if doctors, nurses and other staffs do not come for work in these outpatient wards then they would be dealt severely. This was according to CM of Puducherry.
