The procedure of testing for coronavirus infection through Rapid Test Kits commenced today (Saturday, 18th November) in the Chennai Metro City and Salem
The State Government of Tamil Nadu procured the Rapid Test Kits from China for detecting the coronavirus infection faster. In the 1st Phase of this procurement, 24000 test kits reached Chennai yesterday (Friday, 18th April). Out of this, 1000 kits reached Salem.
Subsequently, the procedure of testing for detection of coronavirus infection through these rapid test kits started at Salem. The test results will be known in 30 minutes. For the first 18 tests, it was confirmed that these patients were not affected.
Testing through Rapid Test Kit commenced in the Chennai Metro City Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital as well. Rapid est Kit usage commenced in Coimbatore as well.
Meanwhile, the State Government officials informed that the 12000 Rapid test Kits allotted by the central government to the Tamil Nadu have arrived.
