Now, 10 Corona virus positive cases in Adyar Cancer Institute

On Sunday, atleast 28 new Corona virus positive cases were recorded in Chennai. There were as many as 10 persons belonging to Adyar based Cancer Institute who had tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday. This included 7 patients, 2 staff nurses and 1 technician.
It is worthy to mention that one person out of the 10 Covid-19 positive patients at the Cancer Institute had been admitted for cancer treatment at RGGGH, Chennai. This person is a taxi driver and he was tested after the postgraduate doctor at RGGGH tested positive for Covid-19.
It must be taken into account that this taxi driver was then referred to the Cancer Institute and others at the institute got Corona virus from him. The sources have mentioned that the infected persons belong to other states and districts.
Important information collected is the total number of corona virus positive cases have risen to 1885 in TN and Chennai has got as many as 523 cases, highest in TN.
On Sunday, 60 more patients have been discharged after treated for Covid-19 infection in several hospitals. There are 838 active cases in TN. On Saturday, one Corona virus positive case was reported from Krishanagiri district in TN. This district is now in the green zone with less than 5 cases. AS many as 7 districts are in orange zone with less than 15 cases and other districts are in the red zone. Presently, Chennai district is under the total lock down and this lock down would be there till 29th April.
