Order to stop using rapid test kits!

Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR) has ordered all the states to stop using the Rapid Test Kits.
In a notification to the Chief Secretaries of all States and Union Territories, ICMR has mentioned:
“ICMR strongly recommends that PCR test kits are the best ones to test confirm coronavirus infection! This equipment identifies the virus quite fast and identified the affected person in order to isolate.
Many states have ve procured Rapid Test Kits’ on their own, as per their requirement. ICMR also has given these kits with the strict instruction that these Rapid Test Kits must be used only to monitor the suspect.
Many states which used the Rapid Test Kits have complained that there is some glitch in the Rapid Test Kit and it does not perform as expected!
Subsequently, the test kits procured from the 2 companies Qwangunbotayo Tech and Huugai Livsun Diagnostics were tested and analyzed. It established that these kits were defective.
Keeping this in mind, stop using these test kits and immediately arrange to return the same to the companies!”
