For the second day, TN recorded more than 100 Corona virus positive cases

The number of Corona virus positive cases in TN are increasing is proved now!!
For the second day, the state of TN recorded 100 plus Corona virus positive cases and 94 of these out of total 104 cases were from the city of Chennai. Total number of corona deaths in TN stands at 27 with the deaths of 65 year old cancer affected person and a 26 year old woman.
It is mentioned that the death of the woman has pushed the directorate of medical education into hurried containment mode. On Tuesday, she died in labour at the Kasturbha Gandhi Hospital and on Wednesday the collected swab sample of hers tested positive for Covid-19.
Important information gathered is atleast 30 doctors belonging to MMC and 17 house surgeons from Omandurar Medical College plus many nurses and health workers were sent into 14 day quarantine in hostels and in hotels.
For the purpose of disinfection, large section of Kasturba Gandhi Hospital was closed and the officials belonging to the Chennai Corporation have been asked to trace and tests the contacts of the woman and all the medical staffs and patients of the 2 medical colleges. It was later confirmed by senior doctor that the woman developed eclampsia/ high BP plus seizures and died
In the other case, the 65 year old man with cancer who died got Corona virus from Cancer Institute of Adyar and he died at RGGGH on Wednesday. It must be noted that his son who is a food delivery executive also tested positive for Corona virus. Tracing his contacts would be very difficult. This was as per a city zonal senior health officer. Every day in the Chennai city, many front line workers like police, media, grocers, vendors are getting infected and each one of them has large number of contacts.
