Chennais new hot spot is Central Region - 111 news Corona positive cases in just 2 days topped by Thiru-Vi-Ka Nagar

The news that the central region of GCC has now become the new hot spot is now the talk of the town. In the last 24 hours, as many as 81 new positive Corona virus positive cases have been recorded in this central region of GCC.
On Tuesday, 103 cases were reported and out of these 81 belonged to the central region. It is known that central region comprises of zones like Thiru-Vi-Ka Nagar, Ambattur, Anna Nagar, Teynampet and Kodambakkam. As many as 11 positive cases each have been reported in the north and south regions. It must be taken into account that on Monday 47 cases were reported in Chennai and of these 31 belonged to the central region.
It was brought to light by a senior official that most cases in the central region of GCC had contacts with earlier Corona virus positive cases. He explained that all the 34 cases in Thiru- Vi- Ka Nagar on Tuesday had got Corona virus from the affected persons.
He added that in the same manner in Mylapore around 13 Corona virus positive cases had contacts with the earlier contacts. It is known that on 7th March TN reported its first case of Covid-19 and since then the cases have increased steadily.
