Lock-down 3.0: Extended by 2 more weeks throughout the country!

The Central Home Ministry has announced that the lock-down imposition is extended for 2 more weeks throughout the country!
So, lock-down imposition will continue until 17th May.
The 2nd Phase of the lock-down was to conclude on 3rd May. However, the spread of the raging coronavirus pandemic still remains uncontrolled with a daily increase in the number of infected people. Hence, the decision has been taken to extend the lock-down by another 2 weeks.
Earlier, based on the extent of coronavirus spread, the central Department of Health had trifurcated the country into 3 zones of 3 colors - red, orange, and green. It was expected some relaxations would be announced as per this.

Some relaxations have been announced in some sections of the red zone where the impact has been lesser.
Relaxations in the Red Zones
- The ban on flight services, trains, Metro Transport, road transport between states will continue. Academic institutions - schools, colleges, etc., will remain closed.
- No permission will be given to any event which requires public gathering in large numbers! No permissions will be given for political, social, and cultural gatherings, Commercial complexes, theaters, and hair-dressing salons will all remain closed.
- No one should venture out from 7.00 AM to 7.00 PM without any valid reason. Senior citizens over 65 years of age, pregnant women, and children must not come out.
- Outpatient-wards will be permitted to operate in all the zones. However, it will not be allowed in the already marked blocked zones.
- In Red zones, autos/call taxis will not be permitted in the marked zones. Interior transport in the districts and the inter-district transport remains banned.
- Some activities are permitted in the red zones: Individuals and vehicles can be permitted for certain special reasons. 2 persons can travel in 4-wheeler. But only once can travel on a 2-wheeler.
- In the red zone, the individual/separate stand-alone shops located in suburban areas can open.
- In the red zone, private and public sector organizations can function BUT WITH 33% STAFF!
- In rural areas, industrial activities, construction activities, rural employment programs, food processing, and brick kilns can function. Except for commercial complexes, all other shops can be opened.
Relaxation in Orange zones
- The relaxations declared above for the red zone would be applicable for orange zones as well! Call Taxis can operate - but apart from the driver, only 2 persons will be permitted to travel. In 2-wheeler, 2 persons will be permitted.
- Individuals or vehicles will be permitted to travel to other districts on permititted activities.
Relaxation in Green Zones
- In green zones, all activities except those banned throughout the country can continue.
- Buses can operate with 50% of passengers. 50% of the buses will be operated in depots.
Note: All Goods transport will be permitted in all the 3 zones!
