Information about the transport that would be allowed during the lock down time

More Covid-19 positive cases are being reported in India and as a result on 1st May it was announced by the ministry that the lock down would be extended for another 2 weeks of time till 17th of May 2020.There are 3 zones namely red zones, orange zones and green zones now and this has been based on the number of Covid-19 cases.   

It was mentioned in the list from the central government that depending on the 3 zones there would be some changes in the transport. In all the zones, the ban on normal transport would be continuing. In the red zones, ban on trains, flights and metro trains would be there. As per the Union Home Ministry’s, the individuals could travel by flights, trains and through roads for the essential requirements and permission has been given.

The ban on call taxis, autos etc would be continued in those places marked prohibited areas in the red zones. The ban on both intra as well as inter districts transport would still be there. In the red zones, the four wheelers could have just 2 persons apart from the driver. The two wheelers in the red zones could have just a single person.

In the orange zones, the call taxis could be operated with the condition that apart from the driver only 2 persons would be allowed to travel. One person apart from the person driving the two wheelers would be allowed to travel in the orange zones. It is said that for the allowed activities in the districts individuals or vehicles would be allowed. In green zones, the buses could function with 50 percent of passengers and in bus depots only 50 percent buses could function.
