The Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has informed that there are prospects for rain with medium rain in the next 24 hours in 1 or 2 places, mainly due to the thermal convection rain phenomenon and the cyclone formats in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
With the peak part of the summer, ‘kathiri veyyil’ having just started, as temperatures of up to 41 degrees Celsius may be recorded in the districts of Madurai, Trichy, Karur, Salem, and Dharmapuri districts, the Meteorological Centre has appealed to the public not to venture out during the noon session!
Chennai Metro City may remain partly cloudy. The maximum temperature will be 36 Degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature will be Rs. 28 Degrees Celsius.
