With reduced demand for booking flights, airlines cancel flight services!

With the flight services all set to resume today (Monday, 25th May) after the lockdown imposition, as only very less number of passengers had booked flight tickets, most of the flight services WERE NOT OPERATED.

With the resumption of the flight services, the officials of the State Government of Tamil Nadu undertook the inspection/checking of the arrangements for preventive guidelines at the airport.  They also checked whether social distancing is being observed.

Meanwhile, permission for landing has been allowed only for 25 flights to Tamil Nadu. However, there were no restrictions on the departure of flights.

Today (Monday, 25th May), the scheduled flight services of Indigo Airlines, Air Asia, and Air India were canceled at the last moment due to a very less number of passengers.

The passengers who had booked the flights were thus subjected to severe hardship and were waiting, hanging around the airport, not knowing the next step of action!

At the same time, some flights took off from the Chennai Airport this morning (25th May) to Delhi and other cities!

Meanwhile, 82 flights have been canceled earlier scheduled to depart from and arrive at the Mumbai/Delhi Airports!

As several flights were canceled, the passengers who had booked the flights on various personal urgent reasons have been left in the lurch and have been put to a huge hardship not knowing what next!
