Glittering Tamil Nadu Conference on behalf of the Federation of Indian Industry

The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, E. Palaniswamy, has emphasized that in the present situation where the migrant workers from other states have gone back to their native places due to the lockdown and the raging coronavirus pandemic, the industrial production has to return to normal levels by using the workers from the state of Tamil Nadu!

The Chief Minister inaugurated the conference, ‘Glittering Tamil Nadu’, organized in Chennai on behalf of the Federation of Indian Industry.

More than 500 Chief Executive Officers and other senior officials of leading industries participated in the inauguration/conference.  The Head of the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), Hari Thyagarajan, Vice President of the Apollo Group of Hospitals, Preetha Reddy, Vice President of Sanmar Group, Vijayashankar, Managing Director of Wheels India Limited, Srivats Ram, and Managing Director of Daimler, Satyakam Arya participated.

Delivering the inaugural address of the conference, the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister observed that the State Government of Tamil Nadu has been taking several initiatives fort eh growth and development of industries in Tamil Nadu to make the state a leader in this front!

The Chief Minister pointed out that 5 states including Tamil Nadu are at the forefront in the efforts being undertaken to revive the Indian Economy!

He appealed that the local workers from Tamil Nadu might be utilized for the compensation of the migrant workers from other states who have returned to their respective native states.

The Chief Minister released the Handbook for Tamil Nadu`s industrial growth.

Detailed reviews and discussion took place in this conference regarding the various activities to be undertaken to revive the Tamil Nadu State economy and to attract new investments for the new industries to be set up in the state.
