The Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has informed that a low-pressure zone has formed over the Central-east Bay of Bengal area.
So, a warning has been given to the fishermen not to venture into the sea for fishing for the next 3 days in the Coastal Andhra areas and Central-west Bay of Bengal.
Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has also informed that there are prospects for heavy rains with thunder in the districts of Nilgiri, Coimbatore, Theni, and Dindigul.
There are prospects for rain in the districts of Thanjavur, Thiruvarur, Pudhukkottai, and Nagappattinam mainly due to the southwest monsoon rainy season and thermal convection rain phenomenon.
The above low-pressure formation may intensify in the next 48 hours and may transform into a depression zone. It may later weaken and drift towards north or northwest.
