The chief minister of TN, Mr. E. Palaniswami has confirmed on Friday that the decision to further extend the lockdown would be taken only after the discussions with the health experts at the meeting on Monday, 29th June. It must be taken into account that the announcement would be in line with the Union government’s decision.

For reviewing Coronavirus control measures and developmental projects, the Chief Minister of TN went to Trichy. It was mentioned by the CM that none would be able to predict exactly when this Coronavirus infection would get controlled as it was a new disease. He then spoke about how the WHO or World Health Organisation, ICMR, or Indian Council for Medical Research, Union ministry of health and family welfare, and other medical experts had their own views about the peaking of Coronavirus infection cases.

It must not be forgotten that a few days back researchers belonging to TN Dr. MGR Medical University predicted that in the month of October Coronavirus infection would be peaking. By following certain crucial steps and by following the lockdown imposed by the Union government, the state of TN has managed to control the spread of Covid-19 infection.

The CM later mentioned that the invention of a drug could end all the issues due to Coronavirus infection. It is worth mentioning here that the TN government has been acting according to the advice from ICMR, WHO, Union health ministry, and health experts. Various preventive steps like wearing facemasks, washing hands, and keeping houses clean and getting treated for symptoms are important in this scenario.
