The Greater Chennai Corporation has informed that the trend in the number of persons getting affected with coronavirus infection in the 15 zones in the Chennai Metro City has started reducing!
However, at the same time, the trend of persons getting affected in more in Central and South Chennai as compared with North Chennai.
In Chennai Metro City, over the last 7 days, the number of persons newly getting affected with coronavirus has reduced by an average of 5.2%.
9369 persons have been affected with coronavirus infection in North Chennai Royapuram Zone and 8007 persons are freshly affected in Tondiarpet Zone.
As 91% of the patients have recovered in Royapuram Zone, presently, there are 1582 patients under treatment.
As 79% of patients have recovered completely from the coronavirus infection in Tondiarpet Zone, presently, there are 1522 patients under treatment. In a similar way, in the North Chennai Zone of Thiruvotriyur, there are 956 patients under treatment, and in Manali Zone, there are 396 patients, in Madhavaram, 712, and in Thiru. Vi. Ka. Nagar, there are 1538 patients presently under treatment.
At the same time, in Central and South Chennai, as the number of patients recovered is lesser as compared with North Chennai, the patients under treatment remain appreciably higher.
In Kodambakkam Zone under Central Chennai, there are 2552 patients presently under treatment. In Teynampet Zone, there are 2036 patients under treatment. In Anna Nagar Zone, there are 2236 patients under treatment.
With the above situation, Greater Chennai Corporation has initiated more intense activities to keep the spread of the raging coronavirus pandemic I Central Chennai and South Chennai!
