Corona infection on a decreasing slope: Union ministry of Health

The union health ministry has announced that the effect of the pandemic coronavirus has been decreasing in the past few days in the country. On a press conference, Special officer to the health ministry, Rajesh Bhushan said that in a populous country like India, the efforts of the Union and the state government with the cooperation of the public has made them fall in the spread of the virus in the country. He added that the infected rates are decreasing day by day.

He stated that the rate of infection was 31% during March which lowered to 9% in May. This rate has further decreased to 3.24% as of 12 July in the country.

As per the current situation, 3,11,565 people have been affected by COVID 19 whereas more than 5,71,000 people have recovered from the illness. 86% of the total infections have been contributed by 10 states of the country with Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra adding 50% to the total cases.

Karnataka, Delhi, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Gujarat, and Assam share the 36% of the total positive cases says the union minister.

The percentage of recovery is growing faster with a total recovery rate of 63% so far from the total positive cases.
