+2 Overall pass percentage increased in Chennai Corporation

The joint commissioner to the department of school education, Shankarlal Kumavat has told that 85.50% of students from the Chennai Corporation schools have passed in class 12 public examinations this year.

A total of 4,648 students with 1,675 boys and 2,973 girls from the 32 Higher secondary schools under the Corporation of Chennai have written the class 12 public examinations in March 2020. Out of which, 1,306 boys and 2,682 girls totaling to 3,988 students have cleared the examination successfully. The pass percentage has increased to 85.50%.

In the Chennai district, the students from government schools, government-undertaking schools, and private schools have written the class 12 public exam and 93.45% of students have cleared the exams. 45,646 students from the Chennai district have attended the exams with 42,655 students passing it successfully. The pass percentage on sex ratio stands at 90.65% boys and 95.81% girls.

3,830 students have written the exam from the 22 government higher secondary schools across the city. Out of them, 3,334 students have passed with a percentage of 87.05 in March 2020. In the Chennai Corporation, from the 8 boys hostel which accommodates 236 students 11 students have written the examination and all of them have passed.

Chennai corporation higher secondary school in West Mambalam has secured 100% pass percentage. The commissioner to the corporation of Chennai has wished and congratulated all the students who have passed.
