Mobile ration shops for essential groceries planned in Tamil Nadu!

The State Government of Tamil Nadu has planned to introduce mobile ration shops for selling/supplying essential grocery items at a cost of Rs. 10 Crores in all the 37 districts of the state.
It is explained that the main motto of the plan is - Apart from taking care of the vital requirement of avoiding crowd gathering in the prevailing coronavirus pandemic and the resultant lockdown conditions, it will also enable reach and supply the citizens living in remote rural areas and mountainous domains with essential grocery items.
Information is gathered that vehicles have been acquired on rent to set up 3501 mobile ration shops.
It is also learned that weekly 2 visits will be made by the mobile ration shops in the areas selected by the officials of the Zonal Cooperative Departments.
