SRM Medical Research Institute has announced that it the testing process of administering the new corona-vaccine on humans, the 1st Phase of testing has been successful.
SRM Medical Research Institute has further informed that the 2nd Phase of testing will continue and commence today (Thursday, 6th August).
Bharath Bio-Tech, located in Hyderabad, in a joint effort with the Indian Medical Research Council, has reached the final stage in inventing a new coronavirus treatment vaccine.
Presently, the phase of testing this new vaccine on humans has been taken up. Intense efforts are being taken to facilitate making this vaccine available (if successful) by 15th August.
For this expediting of testing, permission was given to test this vaccine at different medical centres and medical college hospitals in Delhi, Bihar, Odisha, Andhra, Karnataka, Goa, and Uttar Pradesh. As regards the state of Tamil Nadu, permission was granted to pursue testing in the SRM Medical College Research Centre, located in Kattankulathur.
Subsequently, an invitation was given to the self-volunteers to come forward to participating in the research. Tests were conducted on those who volunteered. It is learnt that the medicine was administered on a few volunteers in the 1st Phase. It is also learnt that this has been successful.
Further volunteers/patients will be administered with this new treatment and they will be closely monitored for the next 6 months.
