Tamil Nadu Chief Minister: E-pass procedure will be simplified!

The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, E. Palaniswamy has informed that the procedure for obtaining E-pass, presently mandatory for outside travel (to other districts/states, etc.), will be simplified. He advised that the public should apply for E-pass for only genuine reasons and emergencies and that should be explained while applying for E-pass.

The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister has undertaken a visit to the southern districts of the state in order to review the various activities containing the spread of the raging coronavirus pandemic.

The Chief Minister conducted a review meeting yesterday (Thursday, 6th August) at Madurai with the district collector and senior officials at the District Collector’s Office in Madurai.

In the meeting which was prolonged, doctors, nurses, and Health Department representatives participated.

The Chief Minister had a session with the press after the above review meeting on the coronavirus spread prevention status. He shared the information that the spread of the raging coronavirus pandemic has been brought under control in Tamil Nadu especially due to the various rearguard actions undertaken by the State Government of Tamil Nadu.

Earlier, the Chief Minister participated in the review meeting conducted in Dindigul with the collector and senior officials. The Chief Minister reviewed the various district development activities as well. Subsequently, the Chief Minister had a session with the micro/mini/small/medium industry sector entrepreneurs and the representatives of the agricultural cooperative unions, and the representatives of the Women’s Self-help Groups.

After this, he had a session with the press reporters and shared the information that the State Government of Tamil Nadu is quite earnest about the aspect that there must be no maloperations in the E-pass issue procedure.

The Chief Minister had a review meeting regarding the progress in the various activities undertaken as preventive measures against the spread of the raging coronavirus pandemic in Thirunelveli.
