TASMAC shops open TODAY (18th August) - Rues and regulations

TASMAC shops located in the areas under the jurisdiction of the Chennai, Metro Police are set to open today (Tuesday, 18th August).
This is as per the earlier announcement by the State Government of Tamil Nadu. At the same time, TASMAC shops located in the ‘Containment Zones’ and the Commercial complex zones will not be open.
In this situation, TASMAC administration has released the detailed guidelines to be strictly followed by these TASMAC shops:
- A partition made of the transparent sheet must be set up outside the grill area of the TASMAC shop,
- Once the above transparent barrier is set up, the details must be informed.
- A maximum of 500 tokens only is to be issued to the customers.
- ‘Shamiana Pandhal’ and mike-sets must be arranged.
- The customers must stand in a queue with a 3’ gap between each customer and accordingly, colored circles or using bleaching powder must be set up.
- 5 persons – either self-volunteers or the TASMA shop staff may be utilized for coronavirus prevention activities.
- In case there is sufficient space, 2 counters may be set up.
- Clean the outside surrounding area spraying with bleaching powder and cleaning at regular intervals.
- Remove waste as and when collected.
- All customers should be cleansed with sanitizer before being allowed near the counter.
- The staff must wear face masks and gloves already distributed.
- Once completing all jog, clean the surrounding of the shop before 3.00 PM and send the photo of the cleaned space to the district manager. The TASMAC hop can be opened only after the Manager’s approval.
- Please note that all the above-instructed activities will be closely monitored. In case of any failure, the concerned TASMAC shop will not be allowed to open!
