A National Common Test planned to be conducted in 12 languages!

The Central Government is planning to conduct a National Common Test for recruitments in the various Public Sector Organisations including the Railways and Banks. A new council/committee will be set up for this.

In this regard, the Central Government has planned to conduct this proposed National Common Test in 12 languages.

The Central Cabinet Ministry had approved the Central Government’s proposal to set up a National Employment Council. In this situation, the Central Ministry of Employees Welfare has released a notification regarding the proposed National Common Eligibility Test.

It is mentioned in the notification that the National Common Eligibility Test will be conducted from the next year and this test will be conducted twice in a calendar year,

It is further mentioned that during the starting stage, the examination will be conducted in 2 languages – Hindi and English. Gradually, this will be extended to be conducted in 12 languages. The notification also mentioned that the syllabus for this common examination will be of a common standard.

Around 2.5 to 3 Crores of candidates have been written these examinations. Henceforth, the candidates can write the test once and then will be qualified to write the higher grade examinations in this avenue.

The marks obtained in this online National Common Eligibility Test will be valid for 3 years from the date of the release of the marks.

It has been further announced that the various competitive written examinations conducted for recruitment by the Railway Employees Recruitment Board, Union Public Service Commission, and National Banking Council for recruitment of employees under the Group B and Group C category will henceforth be conducted by the proposed National Employees Selection Council.

Separate competitive examinations will be conducted each for the 3 categories of candidates - Graduates, candidates who have passed 12th standard, candidates who have passed 10th Standard. The registration for participating in the above 3xaminations can be done on the website and after selecting the preferred examination centre, allotment will be given on the basis of availability.

As examination centres will be set up in each state, it is mentioned in the notification released by the Central Ministry of Employee Welfare that it is expected that the hardships thus far encountered by the women candidates will be solved and further, as the competitive online examination is conducted in several languages, the equal scope will be available for all the candidates from different states.
