Prospects for rain in TN due to the southwest monsoon season!

The Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has informed that there are prospects for rain in the state of Tamil Nadu due to the southwest monsoon seasonal effect.

In a notification released by the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre, it is mentioned that there are prospects for mild to medium rains in 1 or 2 places in the coastal districts, and Madurai, Virudhunagar, Salem, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, Nilgiri, and Puducherry and Karaikkal.

As regards the Chennai Metro City and its suburbs, the sky will generally remain cloudy and there are prospects for mild rain in a few places in the city.

The Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has also warned the fishermen not to venture into the sea in the areas of the North Bay of Bengal and the adjacent central-west Bay of Bengal as high-speed winds will blow in these regions at 50 kmph to 60 kmph and at speeds of 45 kmph to 55 kmph in the regions of the coastal areas in the North Andhra and Odisha, and the coastal areas of Goa, Maharashtra, Kerala and Gujarat.
