While extending the lockdown imposition in the next phase until 30th September, the central government has released the further relaxations as well!
Accordingly, permission has been granted to resume the Metro Rail Services in a gradual manner and also the permission to organise political, social, cultural pubic events and commence functioning of the open-air cinema theatres with certain restrictions/conditions.
In this regard, in an order released by the home ministry of the central government to all the states and Union Territory governments, it is mentioned:
· Al the academic institutions including schools, colleges, and training organisations will remain closed until 30th September. However, online teaching and long-distance education will continue their sessions.
· From 21st September, the state governments/Union Territories may permit the schools and online coaching venues located OUTSIDE CONTAINMENT ZONES may be allowed to engage the services of 50% of teachers and staff. In a similar vein, the students studying in the classes from the 9th Standard to the 12th Standard can be permitted to attend school if they desire so, but with the approval of the parents or guardians with written letters.
· The National Skill Development Training Centres, the short-term training Institutes function under the National Skill Development Centres and all the Industrial Training Institutes can resume functioning.
· After conducting a thorough review meeting with the Central Home Ministry, the Ministry of Railways, the Metro Rail Services may be commenced from 7th September and expand gradually. Guidelines regarding this will be released later.
· Permission will be allowed to organise public events such as social, cultural, political and Sports from 21st September. A maximum of 100 participants will be allowed but the guidelines of wearing face masks and keeping social distancing must be strictly observed.
· Until 20th September, a maximum of 50 participants will be allowed in events such as marriage and a maximum of 20 persons will be allowed in the death-related events.
· Film theatres, swimming pools, entertainment centres, and drama/play clubs will continue to remain closed. However, the open-air film theatres can commence functioning from 21st September.
· E-pass no longer required: Permission is given for travel of the public from one state to another or within the state. There is no o need to obtain E-pass for this purpose.
· At the same time, full lockdown imposition will continue in all Containment Zones. Apart from these containment zones, the state government must not impose any restrictions in the other places ( at district-level and state-level) without consulting with the central government.
· NOTE THAT IT IS MANDATORY TO WEAR FCE MASKS AND OBSERVE SOCIAL DISTANCING IN ORDER TO PREVENT THE RAGING CORONAVIRUS SPREAD! Further, penalties will be imposed for spitting in public places. Locations such as offices, service centres, offices, shops, etc., must be cleaned regularly. Facilities such as body thermal testing and frequent hand-washing must be available.
Lockdown conditions have been imposed throughout the country as a preventive measure against the coronavirus pandemic from 25th March. However, keeping the economic stagnation in consideration and encouraging economic growth, relaxations are being announced gradually!
