September, the current month is the last month to avail the benefits of getting a free LPG gas cylinder under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Free Gas Cylinder:

Under the above scheme, the Central Government has been distributing free LPG cooking gas cylinders during this present month of September for the BPL (Below Poverty Line) Family Ration Card Holders. As such, under this scheme which commenced during 2016, crores of people have benefited by this scheme!

Under this scheme - Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana – free PG cooking gas cylinders are being distributed to the citizens living Below Poverty Line (BP).

With the prevailing harmful condition of the coronavirus pandemic which has affected the lifeline of most citizens, the economically poorer pubic have been benefiting from this scheme. Apart from this, the low-income-group citizens get the benefit of the gas fuel.

Due to prevailing lockdown imposition which is a preventive measure against the raging coronavirus pandemic, the earlier deadline of this scheme which was end April, has now been extended until the end of September. Thus, the present month of September is the last chance to avail this offer.

The main objective of this scheme is ink al cadres of families belonging to different economic cadres to convert to the usage of LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas). Compared to the usage of wood as fuel, LPG creates very much less pollution in the air!

This scheme is being implemented as a joint effort with the Central Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.

Any woman holding a BPL Family Ration Card can apply for this scheme. Fil up a KYC form (Know Your Customer) and submit the same in the nearest LPG Centre.

To complete the registration process, certain documents are asked for. Once the registration is completed, cylinders can be procured easily.

Documents required
