Our food would be more nutritious when we consume more colours!! Sounds amazing right!!

The red colour of tomato, green colour of green leafy veggies plus brown colour from grains and yellow colour or range colour from fruits are good for our health. The requirement of our body gets fulfilled by the nutrient that is present in the vegetables. The lack of nutrients when we cut down the intake of veggies is revealed by some signs.

Various signs are

Bleeding gums:
The vitamin C is present in citrus fruits like oranges etc plus in veggies like kale, tomates, broccoli etc. Intake of vitamin C is important and it would prevent bleeding gums. Other reason for bleeding gums would be lack of proper oral hygiene

Fatigue:
We could have constant fatigue and tiredness when there is folate deficiency in us. Green leafy veggies, asparagus, lentils, kidney beans etc could provide folate to us.

Muscle cramps:
This is also one sign that is shown when we don’t consume enough vegetables. The deficiency of potassium is shown by continuous muscle cramps. It is believed that for smooth muscle contraction the muscles of our body need certain amounts of potassium. Few examples of vegetables that are superb sources of potassium are spinach, sweet potatoes etc.

Constipation:
More bulk is added to the stools due to the presence of dietary fibres in the veggies. Truth here is the absence of fibre could make the stools hard and tough to pass through bowel. It is said that a person must have atleast 25gms of fibre in the diet every day. Soluble fibres are present in seeds, nuts, lentils etc and these could prevent constipation in us.

Forgetfulness:
Our brain health is not good is shown by frequent forgetting. The nutritional deficiency of the brain is indicated by occasional forgetfulness.
