Navarathri festival or pooja is around the corner!!
In the pooja holidays, people normally visit their native places to be with their family and friends is a known fact.
For the sake of public, TNSTC has decided to operate more than 300 special buses from Chennai to various parts of TN during the pooja holidays. After the resumption of bus services in TN, the number of passengers has been on the rise and special buses would be operated. This was according to an official belonging to the transport department. Depending on the need, the transport corporation would also operate additional buses apart from the 300 special buses.
The official later mentioned about the official website www.tnstc.in and by using this website the passengers could book their tickets to their destinations that are more than 300kms.
Initially, the fear of getting affected with Coronavirus infection has resulted in poor patronage. The number of passengers is increasing now.
It is worth mentioning here that earlier just 500 buses were operated from Chennai to other places of TN but now more than 1000 buses are being operated. It is well known that the bus operations resumed in TN from 7th of September.
There were many complaints received from the passengers regarding the crew not following standard operating protocols in Chennai. A passenger expressed his views and spoke about how he had boarded a government bus from Karur to Chennai and how there was no hand sanitizer inside the bus. He highlighted the driver wire facemask but the conductor did not wear the mask properly.
