NEET (National Entrance-cum-Eligibility Test) for this academic year 20-21, a pass in which is mandatory to pursue graduate medical courses were conducted during last September with a lot of coronavirus-based restrictions and regulations and the guidelines imposed by the Central Government.
More than 1.5 Lakhs candidates wrote NEET. However, many students belonging to residential areas most severely affected by the coronavirus pandemic and hence with more restrictions, could not participate in the NEET examination.
Considering their genuine plight, the Supreme Court has ordered to conduct NEET for these students exclusively who missed participating, to conduct NEET again on 14th October. The Supreme Court has further emphasised that The National Examinations Academy should release the results on 16th October.
In this situation, the Central Minister for Education, Ramesh Pokhriyal has tweeted on his Twitter page that the results of NEET would be released on 16th October.
