The Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has informed that there are prospects for heavy rain for the next 48 hours in the Southern Districts of the State of Tamil Nadu. This is due to the cyclonic format prevailing in the upper layers of the atmosphere over the coastal areas of Tami Nadu.
Due to the above cyclonic format, there are prospects for mild to medium rains with thunder for the next 48 hours in a few paces in the districts of Madurai, Theni, Dindigul, Pudhukkottai, Thanjavur, Thiruvarur, Nagappattinam, Sivagangai, Ramanathapuram, Virudhunagar, Thirunelveli, Thenkasi, Thoothukkudi, and Kanyakumari, and Karaikkal. There are prospects for heavy rains with thunder in 1 or 2 paces in the districts of Thirunelveli, Thenkasi, Virudhunagar, and Thoothukkudi.
As regards the Chennai Metro City and its suburbs, the sky will remain somewhat cloudy. The maximum temperature will be 34 Degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature will be 26 Degrees Celsius.
