As the lockdown conditions were imposed as a preventive measure to prevent/contain the raging coronavirus spread, the functioning of all the public sector undertakings in al the states and the central government have been largely affected!

Especially, as regards the State of Tami |Nadu, the Transport Corporations, the Electricity Board (TANGEDCO), Consumer Trading Corporations, the Tea Estates, and several other undertakings have been hugely affected! Nevertheless, considering the welfare of the families of the employees, all the employees have been paid their due monthly salaries in full.  In this regard the State Government of Tamil Nadu has announced that the above 10% bonus has been declared even though even the profit-making public sector undertakings need to encounter this excess expenditure.

No more cancellation of salary-related issues

Further, a substantial increase has been recorded by the GST (Goods and Services Tax).

As such, the Department of Finance of the State Government of |Tamil |Nadu has decided that there will not be any need to undertake cost-cutting exercises due to the corona-induced lockdown situations.

Due to all above factor, the state government public sector employees have been given a 10% bonus. As it can be positively expected that the State Economy will reach normal levels, the public sector employees hope that the various allowances and other related issues will be given back!
