Information regarding reopening of schools in Chennai and in TN - Parents meeting with school heads

The rival parties and allies have opposed the reopening of schools in TN from 16th November is a well known fact.

The latest news is that on Wednesday, 4th November 2020, TN announced a consultative meeting of the school heads and the parents of the students belonging to the government aided and private schools n 9th November. The meeting would take place at 10am adhering to the Covid protocols and this was stated in the official release from the school education secretary Mr. Dheeraj Kumar.

It must be noted that the parents of the students belonging to the classes 9, 10, 11 and 12 could take part in the meeting and express their views regarding the schools reopening. Those parents who cannot attend the meeting could send their opinions through letters. The schools reopening would be based on the views of the parents.

It must not be forgotten that the CM of TN Mr. E. Palaniswami announced on Saturday about the reopening of schools in TN from 16th November for the students belonging to the classes 9, 10, 11 and 12. Information is that the guidelines issued on 30th September permitted reopening of the schools after 15th October in a graded manner.
