Superintendent of Police reviews before Maha Deepam ceremony at Thiruvannamalai!

The Superintendent of Police, Arvind undertook a review of the situation visiting the top of the Thiruvannamalai Mountain where the sacred Maha Deepam will be lit!

All precautions are being taken and arrangements are being made to ensure the smooth and disturbance-free conducting of the scared events of the lighting of Maha Deepam and Bharani Deepam. Al necessary arrangements are progressing at full swing.

In this situation, a detailed review was undertaken regarding the issues of the location of the Maha Deepam Lighting Copra, the stay of the staff for the Lighting of the Maha Deepam, preparations to be made in case of any rains, etc.

A survey was undertaken by the Superintendent of Police to note the regular routes taken by the devotees and a review was conducted to decide the locations for setting up barriers for monitoring.

The world-famous and traditional and grandly celebrated Deepam Festival at the Thiruvannamalai Lord Arunachaleswarar Temple is scheduled to commence on 20th November with the divine flag-hoisting ceremony.

The festival is celebrated for 10 days and on the concluding day; ‘Bharani Deepam’ will be lighted in the temple of Lord Arunachaleswarar at early morning on 29th November and Maha Deepam on the top of the 22668’ the high mountain will be lit in the evening.
