Fire at NIIT, Sterling Road

An electrical short circuit is believed to be the cause of a fire that broke out in the NIIT campus on Sterling Road in Nungambakkam on Tuesday evening. Sources say the fire started around 7.20 pm.
Fortunately, there were no casualties in the accident. However, a loss of computers has been reported. The short circuit may have been caused by a faulty generator set. The fire is said t have started on the fourth floor of the campus. Fire men put out the fire in half an hour.
