The Coronavirus pandemic has spread to every nook and corner of the world and many have been affected with this deadly infection. Many research institutions and others all over the world have been trying to find a vaccine for treating this infection.

Truth is that novel Coronavirus can lead to a wide range of symptoms in a person. It is now revealed by a study that people infected with the novel Coronavirus are highly infectious in the 5 days after the onset of the symptoms. It is important that one has to take lots of precaution so that he or she does not get infected by this infection. At present, the researchers have been trying hard to understand about the wide range of symptoms and asymptomatic.

The shocking piece of information is many asymptomatic persons are not aware of the fact that they spread Coronavirus infection to others. On the other hand, those who show symptoms isolate themselves for 1 or 2 weeks and these people feel that as their symptoms subside they are free from virus.

It is now brought to light by a new study that though the genetic material of the novel Coronavirus could be detected in the respiratory or stool samples of the Corona infected patients, no infectious virus particle was found being 9 days of symptom onset.

The study was published in the Lancet Microbial Journal and according to the study it was clear that those infected with novel Coronavirus were most likely to be highly infectious for 5 days after the onset of the symptoms. As per the lead author Muge Cevik belonging to the University of St Andrews in the UK, this is the first symptomatic review and meta- analysis that has been examined comprehensively and compared viral load and shedding for these 3 human Coronaviruses.

He then mentioned why SARS-CoV-2 spreads more effectively than SARS- CoV and MERS-CoV and why it was so much difficult to contain. As the majority of the viral transmission occurs in the five days after the onset of symptoms the researchers stressed the importance of self isolation immediately after the people start showing symptoms.

The lead author then threw light on the need to increase the public awareness about the range of symptoms associated with this infection including mild symptoms that might occur earlier on in the course of the infection that those that were more prominent like fever or cold etc.
