Advance booking for Pongal Festival travel in State Govt Buses commences today (11th Dec)!

During the gradual relaxation of the strict imposition of the lockdown conditions imposed as a preventive measure against the spread of the raging coronavirus pandemic in successive phases, permission was given to allow travel in buses but with only 50% passengers.
Subsequently, the State Government of Tamil Nadu has recently granted permission to allow 100% passengers.
In this scenario, for the ensuing most important festival of Pongal for al Tamilians, to enable travel to their native places for the Pongal festival celebration, The State Express Transport Corporation has organised special buses to be operated.
The Department of Transport of the State Government of Tamil Nadu has announced that the booking (reservation) for travel in these special buses to visit their native places for Pongal festival commences today (Friday, 11th December).
The reservation commences 1 month in advance to facilitate the travel of the citizens without any hassles/hardships.
With the grand celebration of the Pongal festival scheduled to be celebrated on 14th January 2021, the transport department of the State Government of Tamil Nadu had announced well in advance that special buses would be operated as per the public demand.
