Chennai Railways Division - Suburban electric train services as per weekdays on 1st and 3rd January (Sunday)!

Even as the time passes through in various phases of lockdown imposition and the various relaxations, the Chennai Metro City Suburban Electric Train Services were resumed in of the phases exclusively for the employees for essential services.
Subsequently, Southern Railways has recently allowed all cadres of passengers to travel in the Chennai Metro City Suburban Electric Train Services.
Some time limit has been imposed for passengers other than essential services employees, women, and children. So far, 500 electric train services are operated in a day in Chennai Metro City.
Only during the weekends - on Sundays, a lesser number of electric trains are operated at the frequency of 1 train per hour.
In this situation, the Chennai Metro Coty Railway Division has announced that 410 trains will be on service from 1st January till 3rd January as per the timetable/schedule observed until 27th December.
Southern Railways, Chennai Division has announced:
”As tomorrow (Friday), New Year Day is a holiday and 3rd January is a Sunday, 410 trains service will be in operation with the objective t meet the extra crowd of passengers on these 2 holidays.”
