In Chennai, teachers putting huge efforts to allay the exam fears regarding board examinations

The schools in Chennai and in TN have been buzzing with activities now!!

It is known that the schools have been reopened for the students belonging to the classes 10 and 12th in Chennai and in TN. These students have got fears regarding their upcoming board examinations. Now, the teachers in the schools are doing their best to reduce fears about the board exams. The teachers are also taking huge efforts to make the students follow the safety norms.

It was brought out by the principal of Prasan Vidya Mandir School, Lakshmi Prabha that the students have returned back to the school campus and the first few days were about making these students feel comfortable in the classroom environment. She added that the students would be eased back to their school routine. Feedback was taken from the students in the first 3 days.

It is superb to mention that this school has done few things for the welfare of the students. The classroom hours have been reduced and a 10 minutes break has been introduced after every class hour to keep the students fresh. It is now confirmed that many schools have been trying out various things to avoid fatigue and low concentration in the students.

As per a teacher belonging to Chennai Corporation School, the teachers have been stressing the importance of various safety protocols regarding Coronavirus and then motivating the students about their academics. Health as well as safety has been given top moist priority now for the students. The need to provide psychological guidance and counselling to those students who require these two have been stressed by the school education department.

It is important to note that in the government schools the SCERT had initiated initial learning- level assessments to ascertain the areas where the students are strong and where the students need more attention. According to the headmaster of Government Higher Secondary School, MGR Nagar, Mr. G. Shanmugavel it was clear that assessments have been going on in the multiple choice question or MCQ format. The main purpose was to know about the effectiveness of the students learning in the last few months.
