Tamil Nadu State Government Employees: Changes in the Earned Leave accrued!

The State Government of Tamil Nadu has made certain changes in the present system of accrued Earned Leave (EL) of the State Government employees. The Government Order on this revision of the Earned Leave system for the State Government employees have been released by the Chief Secretary of the Department of Employees Welfare and Development of the State Government of Tamil Nadu, Harsahay Meena.
The system of surrendering the Earned leave for encashment was withdrawn from 27th April 2020. It was ordered that all receipts of letters filed in this regard need not be scrutinized until further orders.
In the above scenario, it has been ordered that in case applications haven received on surrender of earned leave for encashment, these maybe cancelled and the concerned earned leave balance may be restored to the concerned employees!
