Chennai residents are now upset and worried about these issues regarding their vaccination certificates

Technical glitches and errors in the data entry in the Covid-19 vaccination has become the topic for discussion form many in Chennai now.

The vaccination coverage has increased now in Chennai and in TN after a slow start is well known. Now, some people are facing delay in getting their vaccination certificates whereas others who have received their certificates had wrong dates mentioned about their vaccine shots.

From 1st March 2021, senior citizens and those within the age group 45 to 59 with co-morbidities were allowed to get vaccination.

A resident belonging to Madipakkam who got vaccinated at a nearby PHC was upset with the wrong information in the certificate. Truth is that he was vaccinated on 9th March bit in the certificate it was mentioned as 13th March. In addition to this, his age was also mentioned wrongly. He spoke about how his father got vaccinated on 9th March but did not get SMS till 12th March. On 13thMarch, a vaccination certificate was issued with wrongly mentioned dates.

Another person who got vaccination threw light on how he received 2 first doses certificates. He hinted that there might be some issues with uploading information.

As per some officers belonging to the Health Department, the mistake could be due to data entry issues.
