Sensational: sudden rise in domestic flight fares!

The Central Minister for Aviation Transport has announced that a minimum of fare is charged for domestic flights throughout the country!
Due to the spread of the raging coronavirus pandemic, the lockdown was imposed last March 2020. Stringent regulations were also imposed. Especially the flight services were entirely taken off as a preventive measure against the spread of the raging coronavirus.
With the continuing lockdown, the lifeline of the citizens has affected extremely adversely! As such, certain relaxations were announced in each subsequent phase of the extended lockdown imposition!
As an integral part of these relaxations, flight services have resumed operations. However, only a limited number of buses. Trains and flights are being organised.
In the situation explained above, the minimum fare for domestic flights has now been revised upwards! It is informed that these would be effective until the end of the next month (April).
In this regard, the Central Minister for Aviation Hardeep Singh Puri shared:
“The price of the aviation fuel, known as ATF, has been increasing continuously! Hence, the minimum domestic flight fare is being increased by 5%! However, the maximum domestic flight fare HAS NOT BEEN REVISED!
In case more than3.5 lakhs passengers avail themselves the flight services, prospects are operating 100% flights!”
