We are now coming towards the end of March month and already Chennai is hot and humid. Soon in April , the temperatures would increase by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius in Chennai and in Tamil Nadu. This has been confirmed by some weather experts. Across Tamil Nadu, there would be heat wave like conditions but coastal districts would be cooler. This was as mentioned by some weather bloggers.
As per an officer belonging to RMC, a temperature warning has been issued for Tamil Nadu on Friday. There would be surface winds from the northwest direction and these winds would blow towards Tamil Nadu from 2nd of April. This would lead to an increase in the maximum temperatures and the temperatures would increase by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius above normal in certain districts of Tamil Nadu.
It is learnt that the temperature would increase in districts like Chennai, Chengalpet, Kancheepuram plus in other districts like Tiruvallur, Vellore, Tirupattur, Ranipet, Dharmapuiri, Krishnagiri, Salem, Namakkal, Karur, Trichy, Ariyalur, Perambalur, Tiruvannamalai, Villupuram, Kallakurichi and Cuddalore etc.
Over the next couple of days, the temperature across TN is likely to be hot and this has been brought out by the weather bloggers. As per the weather blogger Mr. K. Srikanth, the temperature would be moderately hot over the next couple of days in Tamil Nadu but it would become more in the early next week in the month of April. He added that there would be heat wave like conditions also. There would be dry weather mostly in Tamil Nadu except few places in south Tamil Nadu and along the Ghats.
The superb piece of information is that Chennai would have cool weather in this period. The weather officials have forecasted that over the next 48 hours the temperatures would be between 35 degrees Celsius and 25 degree Celsius. Chennai has been having sub 35 degrees Celsius temperature till now and the temperature would little increase in the month end and in the first week of April.
Truth is that the land breeze might be increasing the temperature a bit but it would be comfortable. This was pointed out by weather blogger Mr. Pradeep John. In the coming days, Chennai temperature would be normal to below normal.
