The Director of the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre, N. Puviyarasan, shared on Monday (28th March):
“A dry climate will prevail in most p[laces in the State of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikkal from 30th March to 2nd April!
As regards the Chennai Metro City, the sky will remain clear today (Tuesday, 29th March). The maximum temperature will be around 35 Degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature will be around 26 Degrees Celsius.
There are prospects of the terrestrial winds blowing across from the northwest direction towards Tamil Nadu. Due to this, the maximum temperature is likely to shoot up by 2-3 Degrees Celsius in 20 districts in the State of Tamil Nadu – Chennai, Kanchipuram, Chengalpattu, Vellore, Ranippettai, Thirupathur, Thiruvallur, Thiruvannamalai, Villupuram, Cuddalore, Salem, Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, Kallakurichi, Namakkal, Karur, Trichy, Perambalur, Ariyalur, and Mayiladuthurai. This trend of hotter climate will prevail in the areas of Puducherry and Karaikkal as well!”
