From Friday, some parts of western and southern districts belonging to Tamil Nadu are expected to get rains.
It is brought out that coastal areas like Chennai etc would be dry, warm and breezy and the temperatures would be near the normal.
The pre-monsoon rains though are isolated at present and would intensify from the middle of April month. This was stated by some private forecasters and weather bloggers. Isolated places over Western Ghats and south Tamil Nadu would receive light to moderate rains with thunderstorms from 9th April. The rest of Tamil Nadu would have dry weather.
The condition of the sky in Chennai would be partly cloudy and the city would have a maximum temperature around 35 degrees Celsius and minimum temperature around 26 degrees Celsius. This would be in the next 48 hours.
For the month of April, strong easterly winds would be keeping the day temperature around the maximum temperatures of 35 degrees Celsius and minimum temperature would be around 26.6 degrees Celsius. By the middle of April, rainfall might pick up speed and the night temperatures might increase in Chennai and its suburbs. Information is that on Thursday, Nungambakkam recorded 33.7 degrees Celsius that was 0.4 degrees below the normal. Meenambakkam recorded 36 degrees Celsius that was 0.8 degrees above normal.
