It was mentioned by Mr. G. Prakash, Chennai corporation commissioner that GCC has started door-to-door surveys and fever clinics along with contact tracing and intensive focussed tracing.

He then spoke about how GCC would be strict in enforcing Covid-19 safety norms and how GCC Revenue team is geared up. The number of vaccinations would be increased and turnaround would be there in about a month’s time. Mr. Alby John Verghese, Corporation deputy commissioner, Health hinted that each of the 6000 fever survey workers would be visiting the households once every 2 days. He threw light on the work that would be carried out by 1000 FOCUS volunteers also.
