It is now brought to light that vaccination for Covid-19 infection has been causing side effects particularly in women. This has led to the question’ Are side effects divided by sex”.

At present, many reports are suggesting that women could be bearing the brunt of the side effects of the Covid-19 vaccination. In February, JAMA medicine had conducted a research study and it was found that women are more at risk of suffering from severe reactions such as anaphylaxis.

It was evident from the CDC report that out of 6994 persons who had reported side effects 79.1% were women.

It has been reported by some women that after their vaccination for Covid-19 infection they had changes in their menstrual cycle. Truth is that some women got their menstrual cycle a little earlier.  Normally, a vaccine would not disrupt the fertility cycles in a woman but change in the menstrual cycle could be due to the stress experienced by the immune system due to the vaccine. This could be just a temporary side effect only.

Swelling of lymph nodes:
This is one unusual side effect many women experience after getting Covid-19 vaccination. Those women who have received mRNA shots get the lymph node swellings.  Other issues like rashes, swelling Covid arms are also possible.

Some women have experienced mild to moderate nausea, fatigue etc after receiving vaccination shot. Truth is that it resolves on its own and does not need any treatment.
