The State Government of Tamil Nadu has ordered certain new restrictions as there is no respite from the raging spread of the resurgent coronavirus pandemic! Accordingly, various new restrictions have been imposed:
- 100% Lockdown has been declared from 10.00 PM to 4.00 AM from 20th April.
- Lockdown has been imposed on Sundays!
- Permission has been given to conduct ONLINE CLASSES ONLY!
- However, petrol and diesel will be available without any problem!
- On Sundays, only taking parcel food items will be allowed in hotels/cafeterias and restaurants! The customers ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SIE AND EAT!
- Vegetable shops will be open on Sundays!
- The industrial plants/factories producing essential items will continue to function.
- Tea-shops, grocery shops, hotels/cafeterias, commercial complexes, textile and jewellery shops will function until 9.00 PM!
- Permission is not given to visit tourist spots.
- No temple festivals should be performed!
- E-commerce organizations will not be allowed to function on Sundays!
- The State Government of Tamil Nadu has also warned that immediate stringent legal action will be taken if the guidelines are not followed in film theatres!
- During the lockdown, private buses, auto, and cars are not allowed!
- Meat shops will not be open on Sundays.
- Newspaper distribution/delivery, milk delivery and death vehicles will be allowed to function on Sundays!
- Permission has been given to IT workers to function from home!
- Tea-shops and vegetable shops may remain open until 9.00 PM!
