In different parts of TN, SIPCOT or State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu would be setting up 11 new industrial parks.
It is superb to mention here that the new 11 industrial parks would be generating employment for nearly 2 lakhs people in the field of automobile, chemical engineering and other sectors etc.
In around 13500 acres of lands, the new industrial parks would be set up and this was mentioned by some senior officers belonging to SIPCOT. An amount around Rs 3300 crores would be used for the construction of civil infrastructures such as roads, electricity, SWD etc. Truth is that once when the new industrial parks get established then the total number of such parks would be 32 in TN.
In 12 districts in TN, there are 21 industrial complexes/ parks and 7 special economic zones or SEZ spread over 32000 acres of land is known. Districts like Ramanathapuram, Tuticorin, Kancheepuram, Soivaganga, Nagapattinam plus others like Theni, Trichy and Krishnagiri would have the new parks in the future.
According to a senior official, the new industrial parks would generate jobs for more than 2lakhs people. He added that there would be a balanced industrial growth in Tamil Nadu.
