The Department of Health of the State Government of Tamil Nadu has emphasised that pregnant women and the breast-feeding recently delivered mothers NEED NOT GET VACCINATED!
Serum Institute as well Bharath Biotech has not recommended that the above cadre must get vaccinated!
When the above cadre – pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers – get vaccinated, the antibiotic administered may enter the growing fetus and may build immunity against corona.
There have been no side effects detected among the mothers who have got vaccinated so far. Still, as the immunity strength would be lower during the pregnancy period, the experts observe that it is advisable for the above category NOT TO GET VACCINATED!
