After the all time low on Wednesday, the rupee gained marginally against the dollar on Thursday. The last valuation was 60.36 / 38 to a dollar on Thursday. Wednesday’s valuation was the lowest ever at Rs. 60.76 to a dollar.
The gain comes in the wake of worry about India’s current account deficit. The deficit narrowed to $18.1 billion in the quarter January – March 2013 compared to last year’s deficit of $21.7 billion dollars during the same quarter.
