The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has informed that there are strong prospects for a cyclone to be formed over The Bay of Bengal on 24th May!
IMD has informed that a ‘low-pressure’ zone will be initially formed over the upper layer of the atmosphere over the North Andaman and the adjacent central-east Bay of Bengal on 22nd May. This may intensify further and would transform into a strong depression zone on 23rd May!
IMD had explained that there are very strong prospects for the depression zone to intensify further and will transform into a cyclone format! This cyclone is likely to cross the coast on 26th May between Odisha & West Bengal. Indian Meteorological entre has informed that while crossing the coast, there are strong prospects that it may intensify into a very strong cyclone and intensify even further!
Because of this likely strong format over the Bay of Bengal, there may not be any undue damage in the State of Tamil Nadu and there are prospects only for mild rains in 1 or 2 places!
